I really enjoyed this entry and am interested in your book. I particularly appreciated your calling God "The One", because it is so difficult to communicate the importance of God as absolute "other", with ideas and thoughts different from our inner monologue. Otherwise we are only finding ourselves, and that cheats us out of the most sublime and truly spiritual aspects of Christianity. I also agree with you on the ocean of guilt. I believe it is one of the biggest obstacles of modern Christianity. It is as if satan is saying "Hasn't God done enough for you already? Now get out there and earn it and don't come back until you do!" When God tells us the opposite, He is trying to draw us nearer not farther away and He tells us we can do nothing apart from Him anyway! When I sometimes get past my own guilt I suddenly realize it was actually my pride. Thanks so much and looking forward to your future posts. Thanks so much.
